About Oxford Freedom Church!

Whether you are brand new to the church thing or you’ve been around church for a while; we want to say welcome! Our goal at Freedom Church is to create environments and experiences where you are free to encounter God in the midst of everyday life. When you come to Freedom on a weekend, our aim is that you would be inspired to Worship God the Father, draw closer to and imitate Jesus the Son, and be filled and led by the Holy Spirit through music, prayer and the hearing of God’s Word!

Oxford Freedom Church (formerly Oxford Free Methodist Church) has over 100 years of being a community of people who love God, love their city and desire to be a church that is welcoming to all who want to know God personally.

Our Mission: To Follow the W.I.L.L. of God

Our Mission is to Worship God our Father with all our being, in all places and times, in Spirit and Truth;
                                Imitate Jesus in word and deed, ministering to physical & spiritual needs of others;
                                 Love sacrificially through the Holy Spirit who empowers us to love as He loves;
                                  Lead others into a saving relationship with Jesus, becoming fully devoted
                                            Disciples of Jesus, growing in grace, ministry & leadership

The Vision: Te be a community of
disciples of Jesus making disciples of Jesus
The way that Jesus expressed His Agape love was through mentoring his disciples. And His followers continued to be mentored and mentor others. Barnabas mentored Paul, Paul mentored Timothy, etc. We cannot live a victorious Christian life alone.

Created with the need and desire for close, personal relationships, we desire to be a mentoring community to give all people who would join us access to that love.

             God:                 Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Triune God, who we Worship, Imitate and Love in Faith

             Bible:               The inspired and inerrant Word of God is the primary and final authority over our lives

             Prayer:             We bathe everything in prayer; This is how we invite God to enact His will on earth

             People:            We are relational beings and as such we seek to love, respect and welcome all people

            Discipleship:   We seek to make Jesus, and his saving grace, known in this world through love and obedience to Him
